We designed the entire Yūgen Lab e-commerce site with a clear objective: to showcase the traditional craftsmanship of Japanese artisans, whilst embracing a contemporary, trendy and accessible aesthetic.
The UX/UI design was conceived to showcase products selected directly in Japan, making them easier to understand through a clear content hierarchy and category icons that allow users to quickly identify uses and forms.
The smooth and intuitive shopping journey guides users through the discovery of the pieces without ever distracting from what matters most: the precision of the craftsmanship, the understated elegance and the artisanal heritage.
